| Following auditions in March 1995, 70 children were selected from 170 for the production "Bugsy Malone". The children involved came from all over the Franklin Area, ie. Mangatangi, Bombay, Pukekawa, Tuakau, Drury, Ramarama, Onewhero, Pokeno, Puni, Waiuku as well as Pukekohe. This was a major undertaking involving the children and parents in months of rehearsals, initially twice weekly, then three times weekly culminating in sixteen performances during December 1995 with an overall 75% attendance by the public. |
